Doug Scott serves as Senior Vice President and Central Texas Area Manager for ViewPoint Mortgage. Doug's responsibilities include residential and commercial mortgage origination, industry professional education and community outreach.

Prior to joining ViewPoint, Doug served as the chief regional executive for the nation's largest mortgage company, overseeing its largest territory with over 50 locations throughout Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. During Doug's tenure, his region's workforce doubled in size and its production increased by over 60%. Doug has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal as a top-ranked mortgage executive in Central Texas for three years.

Spanning over 30 years, Doug's mortgage and commercial banking experience includes positions in senior management and production with many of the top national financial institutions, including Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America and MetLife. He is Immediate Past President of Austin Mortgage Bankers Association, maintains affiliate memberships with the local chapters of the National Association of Realtors® and the National Association of Homebuilders, and is Board-certified by the Texas Veterans Housing Assistance Program.
